It’s not over yet!

NOTE: The official end of the 90-Day Write cycle and our quest to write 85,000 words in 90 days is midnight on Saturday, March 31, 2018, but Friday, March 30, 2018, is the last Word Count Report check-in.

  • New to the 85K Writing Challenge and don’t know what a Monday/Friday Word Count Report is? Everything is explained HERE.
  • Need to report your word counts? Do so in the FORUM.

For those of you diligently checking in every Monday and Friday, congratulations! Job well done. I’d love to hear if the practice of twice-weekly check-ins has changed any of your writing habits and/or commitments to finding time in your busy lives for writing.

For those of you reconnecting with the 85K Writing Challenge, welcome back! Trust me, not everyone on the 90-day challenge has reached 85,000 words or a completed manuscript. Many have, but many are planning to use April to get more words on the page. That’s why our calendar year is designed the way it is. From time to time, we all need a little wiggle room. A grace period for getting back on track.

What’s next? April is a 30-Day Finish month. Time to rest, relax, finish writing, and prepare for the 60-Day Edit (May 1 – June 30).

You’ll find a congratulatory blog post on the site at midnight on March 31st (EST) with more announcements and next steps on the homepage of the website early next week.
